Kao i na početku izlaženja, RCH je i danas otvoren za priloge iz svih razdoblja hrvatske povijesti, iako nastoji prigodom značajnijih obljetnica poticati autore da daju svoje priloge vezane za njih. RCH je dostupan preko CEEOL-a i preko portala hrcak.srce.hr. Potrebno je na koncu istaknuti da je i Ministarstvo znanosti, obrazovanja i sporta Republike Hrvatske prepoznalo naše napore i uvrstilo RCH na listu A1 publikacija. Od početka 2015. RCH je prihvaćen za uvrštavanje u međunarodnu bazu Scopus.
